Indo-Canadian porn star Sunny Leone’s real name has been confirmed as Karenjit Kaur Vohra.

The Bollywood debutante is said to have rebranded herself as she entered the adult film industry.

“What’s in a name? It’s the mindset, intelligence, intellect and personality that make a gritty lady what she is. And Brand Sunny Leone has that grit in abundance,” said Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar.

The Bigg Boss Season 5 contestant chose the name Leone to pay tribute to her Punjabi roots. It had previously been reported that the star was named Karen Malhotra.

“A lioness is a lioness, whether you call her a Kaur Vohra, Malhotra or Leone,” added Bhagwagar.

A number of Indian websites have carried a picture of her passport confirming her birth name as Vohra.

Leone is studying Hindi to prepare for her debut in Jism 2.

The actor has also been linked to a part in the sequel to Ekta Kapoor’s Ragini MMS.
