As a reality TV show host, Randy Spears puts the bust on philandering couples, and Noah Webster should put the bust on the guilty party who spelled “adulterous.” But like a postman, not a spelling bee champ, Spears keeps his appointed rounds in all kinds of weather. And thanks to some fortuitous California showers, the first scene with Steve Hatcher and Sharon Wild beating a fireplace-lit path to divorce court is that more atmospherically charged because of it.
In a night time forbidden love scenario that has film noir written all over its sleazy little shadows-casting body, Spears is getting the goods on Wild who’s married to Robert Hunington, in a non-sex cameo. Then, like the slime he is, Spears confronts Wild [listen to Wild’s accent attempting to negotiate the phrase “master thespian” in the behind the scenes DVD segment] and Hatcher with his evidence. Which is pretty much how the rest of this movie plays out with the thought often occurring how Spears manages some of his broad lines with a straight face. To get the gist, either give a listen to Spears exchanging words with the adorable Buffy St. Clair who’s just engaged her pudendum in some solo love making, or Randy’s stand-alone comment, “Sometimes your best friend can be your worst adulterous nightmare.”
But the obligatory Hunington girl-girl scene is far from that as it pairs Roxanne Hall and Lauren Phoenix in a must-see bath tub scrimmage. Though not before Hall’s given us some dazzling eye candy on her own by taking the kind of shower you pray to see in an R-rated coed flick. Suds and breathtaking curves make this interlude enough to stand on its own hind legs, but then Hall and Phoenix go to town after which, in a bedroom threeway with Spears, Phoenix is the one needing the shower after Randy blasts enough goo on her belly to propagate a whole new season of reality shows. The go-to guy in these Outback features has generally been Lee Stone who is all over Czech girl Jessica Dee in a highly physical matchup that gets kudos both for camera work, pacing and Lee’s take charge physicality. In other scenes, Kim Chambers and Scott Styles engage in a romantically-inclined photographer-model vignette; while Nikita Denise gets her accent worked over by Shane Collins.
