Roald Riepen has announced his departure as CEO of International Media Company (IMC) after 13 years at the helm. His exit, effective November 5, 2026, includes stepping down as a shareholder and partner.
Leadership Transition at IMC
Riepen's decision to leave IMC stems from a difference in vision regarding the company's future direction. A representative for IMC stated that Riepen is stepping aside to allow the new generation of shareholders to pursue their own vision for the company.
Riepen commented on his departure, acknowledging differing views on the path forward. He expressed respect for the new generation's desire to shape the company's future according to their vision. With his departure, IMC will become a fully family-owned business.
Riepen also conveyed pride in the employees and team he collaborated with, crediting their dedication and hard work for the company's achievements during his tenure.
Riepen's History with IMC and the Adult Industry
Riepen has led International Media Company for 13 years. IMC's portfolio includes the paysite network AdultPrime, as well as SecretFriends and SinfulXXX.
Prior to his role as CEO, Riepen joined IMC in 2013, accepting a position as marketing director for PayServe. This move followed an eight-year tenure as managing director for FreeOnes, a large online babe directory. Riepen stated in September 2013 that he was ready for a new opportunity after his time with FreeOnes, and that IMC's parent company had a "great portfolio of interesting adult products." He assumed his position with IMC on November 1, 2013.
During his time as CEO, Riepen oversaw significant developments for IMC. In October 2021, IMC acquired Digital Desire, an erotic glamour collection. The acquisition included the DigitalDesire.com website and all its assets, which feature over 3,500 glam nude photo sets and nearly 1,800 videos by photographer J. Stephen Hicks. At the time of the acquisition, Riepen stated that the content of Digital Desire was "flawless, beautiful" and would be a "great expansion of the AdultPrime portfolio." He also noted his long-standing familiarity with the brand, expressing honor in taking over the collection and continuing its legacy.
Digital Desire, originally launched in 1997, features models such as Shay Laren, Aria Giovanni, and Sandra Shine. Its content became available to members of AdultPrime.com and its network sites following the acquisition. Webmasters were informed that they could promote DigitalDesire.com through the PayBig affiliate program.
