HOUSTON – myfoxhouston.com – A homegrown comedic horror film is getting a little lift from the longest-lasting porn actor in the world.

Ron Jeremy spent Tuesday afternoon shooting his scenes against a green screen at Moffett Productions in north Houston.

“The story is about a crazy hillbilly family who lives in a junky trailer, who has their trailer possessed by a demon,” says Chuck Norfolk, writer and director of “Haunted Trailer.”

Ron Jeremy plays the Mayan demon. His career spans 33-years and more films than anybody else, according to Guinness World Records.

“I’ve done about 2,000 adult movies – no wonder I’m so tired – and 200 mainstream films,” says Jeremy.

Despite his long and storied acting career, Ron Jeremy’s name doesn’t necessarily ring a bell with younger people – like his co-star, Jacob Byrd.

“They were just as surprised on the set when they mentioned (Jeremy) and I was like, ‘Who?’ And they were like, ‘Whaddya mean, who?’” Byrd says.

And Ron Jeremy’s pornographic past masks a background both banal and bizarre.

“I was a former school teacher,” Jeremy says. “I’m licensed. I have two Bachelors (degrees) and a Masters. And my mother was a spy during World War II.”

But can his evil Mayan demon be vanquished by a family from the shallow end of the gene pool?

The film isn’t scheduled to be finished until the fall, but director Norfolk offers a clue.

“Even the hillbillies in the trailer park can save the world sometimes, yeah.”
