Without makeup, some women have Halloween all to themselves. But without benefit of even a minor touch up plus a Saturday night bender to go along with it, Mary Carey looks pretty good. All things considered. One of the considerations being the fact she showed up late for her own shoot, Run Mary Run!- a gonzo-style spoof about her gubernatorial campaign. Which makes Run Mary Run! a spoof within a spoof, one might guess.

Someone had to rustle Carey out of bed and into the makeup chair where, between table spoons of peanut butter, she’s non-stop with Mary Carey anecdotes. Carey relates one story about a guy in an airport who walks up to her and says she looks just like Mary Carey, only prettier. Carey’s also upset with the Show N Tail strip club in Florida which just violated a court order by running a picture ad of her. Here

Carey explains that she agreed to do shows at her old dance rate but the club wouldn’t fork over for a plane ticket. Speaking of plane tickets, the master of the airline obituary discount, Ron Jeremy also appears in Carey’s movie for Kick Ass in which he plays Spooge Bustamante. Rumor also has it that Lee Stone will have an active role as Ah-nuld.

Shooting began Sunday afternoon for the feature which combines actual footage from Carey’s campaign and plays it against sexual vignettes with Carey doing the setups. One involves the Sacramento rally and sets up a girl-girl scene with Carey interviewing a prospective campaign manager; another is the Club Carrie movie fundraiser which has Carey observing audience reactions to her movie with Tony Tedesci and Hollywood particularly reacting. In all, there’s a 3-day shooting schedule that will pick up this Friday and Saturday.
