WWW – DJ Foothill, a well known adult industry webmaster and former popular KSEXradio Porn Jockey, sent AdultFYI.com sad news today. For quite some time we were aware DJ was going through a few unfortunate events in his personal life but hearing today’s update, we are unhappily reporting it to you our readers.
DJ writes:
Well, where in the hell do I begin? I guess the beginning would be a good place to start. In Dec 03, after a quick hospital visit I got a phone call from the doctors. They had run some tests on some of the samples that I had left behind and found something that caused concern. So back I had to go in order to be poked and prodded for more tests. DAMN I hate tests. I usually fail most of them.
In the weeks that followed, I sat around not really thinking about anything because I was too busy planning the New Years Fucking Eve party and getting everything in order for that.
Fast forward to January 05, 2004. A call comes in from the Oncologist. And he says, “Well the results are back, and it’s not looking good.”
So off I go for a biopsy. Let me tell you just how FUN THAT is. They stick a scope into the urethra… OUCH. I am still sore. And they poke around the bladder, and kidneys. All in all it’s damn near an all day field trip of being poked and prodded. The worse part is trying to urinate AFTER they pull that damn thing out.
It was explained to me that what I am suffering from is Stage 4, Grade 3 invasive adenocarcinoma of the bladder. Or nonpapillary transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. Like they couldn’t just say the shit is bad! Sheesh! That’s why they get paid the BIG money, because they can use such big words. You know they are like lawyers. You pay them for each big word they use.
In stage IV, Cancer may have spread to one or more lymph nodes or to other parts of the body.
Grade 3: Poorly differentiated cancers have less clearly defined boundaries and cells that look very abnormal. They often grow and spread rapidly.
In my case the cancer has spread into the bones. I started Chemotherapy in a hope to combat this situation. They administer two agents, paclitaxel, and carboplatin in the hopes of slowing the progression down. (Yeah the names mean about the same to me. Nothing =o)
It’s a very quick process they simply inject the chemical solution into a vein in what they call a “Push” method. How fun. Here’s the best part of the therapy, that usually I am pretty okay for about an hour afterward, and then nausea, vomiting (Think Exorcist) weakness. Oh and we wont talk about the splitting headaches, and severe stomach cramps. Loss of appetite which makes me wonder, how the hell am I supposed to fight this if I can’t eat to get strength?
Am I afraid of this situation? Actually I can say resoundingly NO. The illness does not scare me. Why? Because I have my first true love that I was smart and lucky enough to get married to, who is being so strong through this. Nikka has been a source of strength for me through this situation. My brilliantly loving and caring wife has been amazing in the support that she has shown me through this so far. Her resolve NOT to give in is amazing!
And I would like to take this opportunity to publicly let her know just how much I love her, and how wonderful the time I have spent with her has been. And just how important she has been and is in my life. Because of her love I look forward to a greater and happier future. She is a phenomenal woman.
Problems are gifts in really REALLY ugly wrapping paper. =o)
