from www.onenewsnow.com – A Christian filmmaker is producing a documentary that makes a connection between pornography and the human sex trafficking industry.

The Salvation Army Vision Network is producing the feature-length documentary titled Hard Corps in an attempt to expose the façade that pornography is a “harmless pastime for consenting adults.”

Guy Noland, film producer and executive director of the network, tells OneNewsNow he is making a concerted effort to raise the public awareness.

“It’s a big problem that’s really plaguing our community right now — the way that pornography really kind of fosters prostitution, which in turn leads to a lot of the underground human sex trafficking trade,” he asserts.

The Salvation Army firmly believes the abuse and exploitation of human beings through any form of human trafficking is an offense against humankind and against God. So combined with its mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, the organization is working vigilantly for the prevention of human trafficking and for the restoration of its survivors.

“There are a lot of victims in this … kind of bursting that bubble of the innocent adult entertainment industry,” Noland laments. He hopes to ” bring that to light and show people that look — this is going on in your neighborhoods; this is going on in your communities, and you need to stand up, and you need to do something about it. You need to be aware of it.”

A campaign to raise funds for the film has been posted online, and a goal of $100,000 has been set to bring the film to completion and to provide for promotion and advertising.

“More importantly, we want to inspire people to get involved and make a difference within their own communities,” Noland adds. “Modern-day slavery is happening, and it’s not a third-world problem. It’s happening in your communities, right next door. We believe it’s time to do something,” he concludes.
