Porn Valley- The fabled Ducati Ranch in the San Fernando Valley was the scene of a police bust Wednesday morning when uniformed and plainclothes LAPD interrupted a photo shoot.
Sandy Bunz was arrested during the shoot. Bunz and a crew of five were abruptly halted by the LAPD who arrived at the Ducati residence about 11:45 AM. Several officers from the Vice squad also detained the crew and confiscated digital camera chips. Bunz has a hearing scheduled for April 1.
Ironically, Bunz had been scheduled to shoot at another location on Mulholland but had to change venues at the last minute. Instead he went over to Kevin Rubio’s. Rubio is the owner of Ducati Productions.
Bunz was in the process of shooting Morgan Reigns when a female cop first arrived.
“Charlie Biggs said there’s somebody knocking at the front door,” Bunz recalls. “I told Kevin and he yelled who is it. They said police. Kevin let the female cop out to the back where we were shooting. She confiscated the camera. Then, real quickly, a second cop came who was a vice squad cop. A woman. Plainclothes.”
Bunz said the vice office must have arrived within five minutes of the uniformed cop.
Bunz also recalls that Kevin Rubio was holding on to his long haired Chihuahua as all of this is going down.
“Kevin was saying something about he didn’t know if still shoots were treated the same as video shoots and whether we needed the license. The plainclothes woman asked whose shoot it was. I told her it was mine. She took my ID and asked how long the shoot had been going on. She wanted to see the images. I turned on the camera to show her the images. Then she said she had to confiscate the chip. She took the chip card then she called for a third woman [another uniform] to come in and take photographs.”
“The plainclothes woman had talked about going through the house and taking photos,” Bunz continues. “But I informed her the photo shoot was taking place outdoors. That was pretty much it.”
Bunz got a citation.
“The cop said I’m making this arrest on behalf of the city of Los Angeles,” Bunz continues. “I go arrest? She goes, yeah. It’s a misdemeanor arrest. I go, Jesus Christ. Arrested?”
Bunz said what makes this pause for wonder is the fact that the police showed up within minutes of the shoot starting.
“We just fired up the camera and all of a sudden Charlie’s saying there’s someone pounding on the front door. The time sequence is so weird. The cop getting there and calling into the supervisor who was there in five minutes. If you call the police and claim there’s someone breaking your window it’s going to take them 45 minutes to get there. She’s from the West Valley. They were in the area. It didn’t seem like there was a neighbor going oh, there’s too many cars. We got to call the cops.”
Bunz said he heard from one of the cops how they had information that Rubio’s place was the scene of past porn shoots.
