Porn star Savanna Samson has revealed that she would be devastated if her 10-year-old son found images of her in action on the internet.
But, despite her reservations, the 44-year-old actress said she did not regret getting into the industry, during an interview with ABC’s 20/20 program.
‘I’m a porn star, yes … and I don’t mind that title. … It’s given me a life of luxury and success,’ Samson, whose real name is Natalie Oliveros, told 20/20. ‘I was, you know, born to do this.’
But Samson, who has been an adult movie star for more than 10 years, admitted to worrying about how her job might interfere with her parenting, adding that she did not want to stay in the profession forever.
‘My life means nothing without, without [my son],’ Samson, who has more than 80 films under her belt, told the show’s co-anchor Chris Cuomo.
She added: ‘Everything that I’ve done in my life, all the choices I’ve made, will one day benefit him instead of being a shameful thing for him.’
The mother Tweeted her hesitations about what effect the program, which aired Friday night, might have on her son Lucchino.
‘Honestly my son knows bits & pieces & loves me but having fear about kids teasing him! There will be plenty of controversy,’ she said.
During the interview, Samson also told of her aspirations to become a businesswoman and concentrate on launching her own wine label, Savanna Samson.
When she first became involved in the Tuscany winemaking venture in 2005, she was worried she would not be taken seriously.
‘A lot of times, when I first launched with this Savanna line, it was like, “Haha, right, you know: Porn star wine give me a break,”‘ she said.
But her confidence was restored when wine guru Robert Parker scored her wine 91 – out of a possible 100 – and deemed it ‘awfully good’.
