from www.sdnn.com – Welcome to the first installment of SD Confidential, our new regular series where we take you, our valued reader, inside some of our fair town’s notable and notorious happenings….For our first outing, SD Confidential caught up with adult film star Tera Patrick during the San Diego stop on her book tour. Patrick chatted with fans and signed copies of “Sinner Takes All,” published this month, at the Borders in the Gaslamp Quarter Tuesday night. She told us of her plans for a burlesque show that she’s planning to debut in her current hometown of Las Vegas sometime in March. (Patrick staged her recent birthday bash at Tao on the Strip this past summer.)
In “Sinner,” Patrick recounts her exploits and inspirational journey from 14-year-old drugged-out fashion model to become the “It girl” of porn and her eventual marriage and split with “Oz” actor Evan Seinfeld.
SD Confidential read the book — purely for research of course — soon after the press review copy arrived in the mail. The jacket blurb from none other than smut baron Larry Flynt best sums up what’s inside: “It’s all here — her passions, triumphs, and defeats — in more detail than we have any right to expect.” (Including photos and a creative use of the book jacket that opens to reveal a mostly naked Patrick in full crotch-grabbing mode.)
Our sources tell us that while in the 619, Patrick bedded down at the Ivy Hotel, which this week announced it is joining Hyatt’s Andaz chain of upscale boutique properties with an official name change set for Feb. 1. Owner Michael Kelly and Ivy reps are so far mum on if the hotel’s stripper poles in some of the suites will stay or go, as well as what else is in store as part of the property’s makeover but we’re dying to know.
