Los Angeles, CA — It would be misleading to say that SexZ Pictures’ Eli Cross Just Got Geeked.

In fact, the director of the multiple award-winning epics UPLOAD and CORRUPTION has got considerable “geek cred” dating back decades. However, Cross has now gotten official recognition of his “professional geek” status in a lengthy interview in the current issue of GEEK MONTHLY.

The magazine, which also features interviews with IRON MAN director Jon Favreau and comedian Dana Gould, goes beyond detailing Cross’ obsession with toys and action figures to outline his career in both adult and mainstream, going so far as to dub Cross “perhaps the greatest porn director working in the adult industry.”

“It makes sense that they would interview a porn director,” explains Cross. “After all, geeks and porn go together like handcuffs and romance.”

Cross believes that profiling an adult director helps burst some of the classic “geeky” stereotypes.

“I think the guys at the magazine just wanted to prove that not all of us live in our parents’ basement surrounded by toys. Some of us live in lofts with dungeons… surrounded by toys.”

Confronted with the image of his 40-year-old contract director playing with dolls, SexZ Pictures CEO Bo Kenney laughs.

“Hell, I’ve got a lot of toys, but mine are race cars and motorcycles and boats,” says Kenney. “I’ve always known there was a part of Eli that was about thirteen years old, I just try not to think about it.”
