North Carolina- One of the seven 82nd Airborne Division soldiers accused in a recent gay-porn flap has agreed to a plea agreement, a North Carolina newspaper reported.
Details of the pact between Pfc. Richard Ashley and military prosecutors were not released, but he is expected to finalize the agreement before a military judge Thursday, the Fayetteville Observer reported.
Ashley and two other soldiers were charged last month with sodomy, pandering and engaging in sexual acts for money in connection with a military-themed gay pornography site. Those men, Pfc. Wesley K. Mitten and Pvt. Kagen B. Mullen, have pleaded not guilty. Mullen was also charged with adultery.
Four other soldiers were charged with the same offenses, but they received nonjudicial punishments and are being discharged, the Observer reported.
The Army has recommended discharges for all seven soldiers.
The elite 82nd Airborne, headquartered in Fort Bragg, N.C., was reportedly not identified on the porn site.
