from www.craveonline.com – Stormy Daniels is an adult film actress (like you didn’t know that already) who works as hard behind the camera as she does in front of it. If you don’t know her more popular work you may have seen her in more mainstream fare like, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Dirt on FX. Currently Stormy can be seen in the new film, Finding Bliss which is a romantic comedy that explores the adult film industry and stars Leelee Sobieski, Kristen Johnston and Jamie Kennedy. We recently had the chance to talk to Stormy about her various projects.
CraveOnline: How did you get involved with “Finding Bliss”?
Stormy Daniels: It was pure luck! I hadn’t heard of the project so it wasn’t something that I sought out. They contacted Wicked Pictures and requested me…and I’m so glad that they did!
CraveOnline: Which project opened more mainstream doors for you, “The 40 Year Old Virgin” or the Maroon 5 video?
Stormy Daniels: The “40 Year Old Virgin”! After doing that, the producer called me for “Knocked Up”, “SuperBad”, “The Pineapple Express” and “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”. Paul Rudd then recommended me for my cameo in “Party Down”. It really is about who you know.
CraveOnline: As someone who wears several of hats in the industry – what is your favorite work; in front of or behind the camera?
Stormy Daniels: Behind the camera! Directing is my true passion.
CraveOnline: What is the hardest part about making a porn film?
Stormy Daniels: The most difficult part of making the type of high end porn feature that Wicked Produces produces that we have an average of three days to do what a mainstream film does in a month. We work much more efficiently and with much longer hours. Scheduling is key and as the director, that falls on me. It is like putting together the most intricate (and expensive) jigsaw puzzle you can imagine.
CraveOnline: What was your first reaction to the “Draft Stormy” campaign?
Stormy Daniels: Anger…I was upset that someone was using my name and image without my permission.
CraveOnline: What’s your take on the oil spill in your home state?
Stormy Daniels: It is a travesty. I just want someone to be accountable…it breaks my heart to see the footage.
CraveOnline: Are you a fan of the current wave of porn parodies?
Stormy Daniels: Nope. I pride myself on writing original scripts and parodies ruin the creativity for me.
CraveOnline: What’s your next project?
Stormy Daniels: I just wrapped my movie “Love in an Elevator” and am working on the post production and editing now. Other than that, I’m focusing on being very hands-on with my new site StormyDaniels.com
