Stripchat has introduced a new feature called Magic Search, allowing users to conduct custom category searches in over 50 languages. This new tool leverages computer vision technology to identify and make searchable specific content within live public shows.
Magic Search Functionality
The Magic Search feature, launched by Stripchat, enables users to search for custom categories. Since its beta launch in February, the feature has processed more than two million queries. A representative for Stripchat stated that if a user desires to see a model with "perfect abs," they can type that description, and Stripchat's computer vision technology will recognize what is occurring in live public shows and make it searchable. This allows a description to locate a room even when no existing category matches it.
With over 150,000 models streaming monthly, the platform suggests that "almost nothing is too specific to ask for." Chase, Stripchat Head of Brand, commented on the feature, stating, "Search should feel like magic — you describe the room, and there it is. That is what ours does, and that is why we called it Magic Search. We see it as the future of discovery. Comparison with Existing Search Tools
Stripchat's own search functionality typically requires an exact username match. However, third-party tools like Stripchat Explorer offer more flexible search options. Stripchat Explorer allows users to search and filter for Stripchat models by typing at least two characters of a model's name or multiple search terms, with results updating instantly without a page reload. This tool covers both online and offline models from a database of over 100,000 active Stripchat profiles. Each result displays the model's name, gender, follower count, maximum viewers, and last online status. Currently streaming models are indicated by a pulsating red circle around their avatar image.
Stripchat Explorer's filters panel provides additional control over search results. Users can restrict results to "Live only" models, select any combination of "Gender" including female, male, couple, and trans performers, and filter by one or more "Country" to find models from specific regions. "Followers range" and "Viewers range" filters allow users to narrow results by popularity or current viewer count. Active filters are displayed as removable chips for easy adjustment.
Another browser extension, StripChat Enhanced, offers various features to improve the user experience, though it does not focus on broad search capabilities. Its features include translating chat messages, tip menus, tip goals, and private show testimonials into over 100 languages with one click. It also allows for a true fullscreen stream experience, sorting tip menus by token prices, hiding distracting chat notice messages, and banning chat users. Other functionalities include using regular emojis, a "Do Not Disturb Mode," resizable video frames, removing blur in group, private, and ticket shows, hiding unneeded sidebar links, and filtering favorites by country, age, and private prices. The extension also removes age verification popups, cookie notices, ultimate ads, quick refill and auto-refill features, and interactive widgets in chat. It can disable watch history and various tracking cookies for privacy and keeps volume settings saved.
