The collection reprints all of Bright’s “X-Rated Advisor” columns from Penthouse Forum, along with several essays covering race, gender, orientation, as well as vision in porn. It also includes long form interviews with Russ Meyer, Christopher Rage, Sharon Mitchell and articles about her 1995 essay The Blatent Lesbian Image.

I’m making my way through it now, stopping often to appreciate the heavily hyperlinked references (the benefits of the ebook format). A few clicks and you can easily find yourself watching a film that only seconds before you were reading about. When you’re done you’ll feel smarter and more sexually satisfied! Maybe not a holiday present for the whole family, but it’s required reading for the sex lover, porn nerd, serious historian, or budding sexologist in your life.
