Tampa, Florida – Just before 5 a.m., Tampa fire rescue responded to an automatic fire alarm at the Platinum Showgirls Club at 4009 W ML King Blvd.

Firefighters arrived within a few minutes to find the business closed, but the front door open and there was smoke in the building.

The fire was contained by the sprinkler system. Firefighters extinguished the fire and declared the situation under control within a half hour.

There were no injuries. At this time, the cause of the fire is under investigation by Tampa Fire Marshals Office, State Fire Marshals Office and Tampa Police.

The suspicious fire moderately damaged the business causing an initial loss estimate of well over 100,000 dollars.
