Arizona- I spoke to Taryn Thomas Friday morning. Thomas is now repped by Lisa Ann, at Clear Talent Management and plans a full scale comeback the beginning of July.
Thomas stepped away from the industry because she had “personal issues” she needed to take care of.
“I had to figure out if, basically, porn is what I wanted to do the rest of my life,” she says. “And in my time off, I definitely figured out that’s what I want to do.”
In the meantime Thomas is working on her company. It’s an event company and Thomas will be hosting fetes in Arizona as well as staging events at gentlemen’s clubs.
“We’ll be bringing porn stars out here for feature shows,” she says. “The company will evolve to where we have large size parties with musical acts, headlining deejays and porn stars all put together. If it goes the way it’s planned, the parties will have anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 people at them.”
“It sounds more like the Taryn Thomas traveling circus,” I tell her.
“It could be,” she says. “But you never know.”
Based on the fact that she’s already hosted some major parties with big draws, Thomas thinks this will be successful with the addition of more porn chicks.
Thomas hooked up with Lisa Ann, knowing her from LA Direct when Thomas was repped by that agency, albeit only a couple of months.
“She always had a lot of faith in me,” says Thomas. “And she was always a good person. So when she got her own agency and I figured I wanted to come back, I contacted her. I thought she would be the best person to handle my comeback and push me in the right way and right direction.”
I asked Thomas about the rumble in recent weeks on the forums about her escorting. Thomas said she hadn’t been on the Internet in the last week or so and wasn’t aware.
“There’s a thread going on about you hooking. And there’s conjecture about your weight loss.”
“Actually I got up to 160 pounds,” she replies. “But now I’m down to around 135 and it’s been a struggle for me to lose weight. If you were reading my MySpace blog there was a thing about my weight. I wanted to see what other people did for their diets and what I did. I was reaching out to other people, not as a porn star but as a person. I had been struggling with my weight all year. I haven’t been on drugs. I stopped doing them last March.
But I’m definitely not skinny. My mom calls me chub-chub. As for hooking, that’s nobody’s business. But I haven’t been.
“I’m not going to lie,” she continues. “I went to New York for Bella Models last September, other than that, whatever. They’re just ridiculous and it was probably on XPT. They hate me on XPT. If someone was really talking about me and it was really true, it would be on Adult DVD Talk, and it’s not. So, whatever. Everything you want to hear real about me is on ADT. Thomas notes that she’s back full swing this summer.
“I’ll probably be shooting for everybody just like I was before. Lisa Ann said she’s got a lot of good requests about me and is excited I’m back.”
