(VAN NUYS, CA) — Duke Hunter of TheHardCoreSource went to Van Nuys Court House today to find out how Digital Playground’s case against Tera Patrick was going. He missed the trial but was told that the injunction request to keep Ms. Patrick from working or using her name and likeness, was denied by a judge this morning.
According to Patrick’s attorney, David P. Beitchman, “in the preliminary injunction hearing, the judge reviewed the documents and denied Digital’s application.” This means, for the time being, Tera will be allowed to host the show on KSEXradio.com that received much recent attention. She would also be allowed to shoot films, promote a personal web site and basically work in any capacity she chooses.
“This is far from over,” Beitchman told TopProTalent.com, “and I’m sure they’re going to keep coming, but what’s right is right. I really believe in this. She has the right to work.”
Beitchman has drafted a formal letter, to be sent to KSEX president, Chris Rick, confirming all the events in the case, so that the internet broadcast company can feel confident about involving themselves with Ms. Patrick after threats that were made by Digital’s attorney, Paul Cambria. In his last e-mail to the company, Cambria wrote, “Proceed at your own risk you have been put on notice.”
Tera will be appearing at Erotica LA in a couple of weeks and may possibly begin her KSEXradio show just before or just after the adult convention, depending on logistics and technical accommodations.
