Porn Valley- If the Twilight Zone were dealing Tarot cards this past two weeks, Death, Justice and The Three of Swords would be the hand.

This morning the industry received word that former manufacturer and one-stop distributor Peter Kinsler passed away from complications resulting from a gastric bypass. Kinsler was 48.

According to an AVN story, Kinsler had been taking Coumadin, suffered a sub-arachnoid hemorrhage and slipped into a coma.

Then, on December 19 in Orlando, AVN reported that First Amendment attorney turned nightclub owner, David Wasserman was shot in the chest by a thief in a robbery attempt of Wasserman’s club, Fantasy Gentlemen’s Club. Wasserman who evidently saved up on his karma coins, walked away from the incident virtually unscathed.

According to the story, a bullet grazed Wasserman’s heart, aorta, liver, esophagus, and came out without doing any damage.

Wasserman explained that he got out of his car at 4 in the morning.

“And all of a sudden a black guy stepped out of the shadows, put a 9mm to my chest, pulled the trigger and said, ‘I’m gonna kill you.’ I continued to struggle with him, and he asked where the deposits were, so I knew it was not just a robbery; it was a set-up from the club,” Wasserman told AVN.

Wasserman told the would-be thief the deposits were in the trunk.

“[He] let me bend over and press the button so he can get in, and he did, and as soon as he walked around to the trunk, I laid on the horn and having just had a gunshot fired and the horn honking, I’m sure he got worried about the noise and stuff, and he took off running without the deposits.”

Wasserman termed his survival a “Christmas miracle,” was treated at a local hospital and returned to work that same night.

“I figured for the morale of my troops, they had to see me, you know,” he said.

Wasserman had also received death threats from someone who wanted to move in on his club. After calling the cops, Wasserman has retained a cadre of bodyguards.

Then, in recent days, word got out that Sin City and its former manager Scott Justice have parted company with Barbara Olson taking over. Loads of speculation on the Justice departure.
