The Craig Valentine Miami Drama

Porn Valley- I spoke to Craig Valentine Thursday morning. Valentine and his wife Summer Haze are at Exxxotica in Miami this weekend. Besides the fact that Mike South and Old Pueblo are in a money dispute, surprise, surprise, Valentine reports that he and Rebecca Hilton are still in their legal tussle, although that appeared over and done with.

“We go to federal court against them next month for violation of the bankruptcy order<‘ says Craig. “And Arnold [Old Pueblo] is still going ahead with the release of the title. I’ve had the judge sign the cease & desist order on ANY film production that I’ve shot for them. I know they’re going to try something at the show.” Valentine says the situation for all intents and purposes had been resolved until Hilton’s lawyers stiffed Don Hollywood by not showing up at a meeting to settle the dispute.

Besides that, Valentine has bones to pick with Xcitement Magazine and Cindi Loftus.

“I had an issue with them two months ago,” says Valentine. “I’ve never had this issue with AVN and I never thought I’d see these words in an e-mail.” That being said, Valentines explains that he paid Ron Jeremy’s way and Sunny Lane’s way to come down to Miami to be at Valentine’s booth- same with Super Twink a gay performer who has a superman logo tattooed on his dick. {Valentine explains that he’s now shooting gay videos and that this is one of the performers.]But Valentine’s gripe is that he wasn’t getting any promo from Xcitement.

“I get an e-mail from Bob Newman, Cindi’s husband and the editor of the magazine- ‘we don’t owe you a damn thing,” Valentine quotes them as saying.

“Who do you think you are. You do porn. We’re in local stripper magazines.’ He went down the fuckin’ list. I basically turned around and screamed at Lee, the owner’s son. He’s like you might have ruffled his feathers on a bad day. You know something? Kiss my ass. Here’s the thing. I’ve donated shit to their parties. I gave them a couple of thousands of dollars worth of sex toys and movies to give away. They never said thank you. Stuff like that. This is ridiculous. We’re a big paid vendor just like everybody else. We should be promoted equally.

“Everything kind of calmed down. Then the issue came out for this month. There’s this big second page. All the girls get their photographs including the Xcitement cover girls. But they eliminated my wife from there. They will not give us the satisfaction. Then I get another e-mail from Bob Newman stating I haven’t spent any money with the book. This shocks me but have you seen anyone blatantly come out and say that? AVN caters to the industry, but a local stripper book? They need porn to survive. They said the last couple of movies you gave to us, the reviews were so fucking bad we couldn’t print them. They sent that e-mail. AVN gave us phenomenal reviews. But you know something? If I got a shitty review, print it. I’d rather see a crappy review than no review. Because the guy’s going to sit there and go, man, if it sucks this bad, I got to see this shit. Why is it shitty? But the thing is, Xcitement’s parading around these two girls as Xcitement’s hot new porn act. The girls haven’t done a fucking porn yet.”

According to Valentine, he was told that all of this was happening because he opened his mouth to the promoter of the Miami show.

“They [Excitement] were going to run a feature story on my wife on the gangbang but now they decided not to. I didn’t have to beg Genesis. I didn’t have to beg Cheri magazine. I didn’t have to beg Swank. I didn’t have to beg Quest. I didn’t have to beg Adult Choice. I didn’t have to beg Playboy. I didn’t have to beg Nightmoves. You were there. At what point do these people think that they’re gods of the industry? Xcitement’s pissed me off. Basically because they got a hair up their ass. They’re not going to cover anything we or our stars do. They have to understand that porn runs the world. If they want to turn around and throw a stone, I’ll throw a fucking brick. I don’t care. At least the shit I do, the readings a helluva lot fucking better.

“This is a power trip for them,” Valentine continues. “Cindi thinks because she talks to everybody that she’s a force in the adult entertainment industry. If Xcitement wants to be a force in the industry, play the game with the porn people.”

On a calmer note, Valentine also notes that as of July 16th, he’s self-distributed, although Dane will continue with catalogue sales.

“I hired two phenomenal sales people in Los Angeles,” says Valentine. “Dane is going to take care of catalogue- that is what Bob’s good at. And the two salesmen are going to take care of selling new releases and sending the new orders over to me. I’m going to ship from Florida.”
