The Swami is touting Syren as the 100th guest on his show.
Swami in his promo, writes this: From Jill Kelly to David Tua; Jacklyn Lick to Mike DeCourcy; Holly Halston to Dennis Wolf, there have been ninety nine previous guests on Body Shots and Money Shots. So now the Swami is ready for another milestone on his show as he unveils his 100th guest of all time. An what kind of guest does the Swami have in store?
None other than the goddess name… Syren.
From the exotic tropical lands of Hawaii to the erotic world in the Valley, Syren has been turning heads and wowing the critics. Her roles in Les Vampyres made her recognizable not only to the adult viewers but to the mainstream audience as well. So after a whirl wind travel tour from Texas to Providence, Syren has joined the Swami for a hot steamy session. Now with all her fans listening, an an audience hanging on her every word, Syren has promised to unlock the untold stories about her family, her age, the AVN awards, her role with Digital G and Robert Lombard, the industry and her love life.
Gene sez: Now for the story behind the story. The fact that Swami tapes his shows a week in advance creates balls of confusion particularly for in-studio guests who don’t know whether they’re doing the show live for airing that day or on tape for airing the following week. In a series of apologetic e-mail riffs back and forth between Swami and Robert Lombard, Syren was in the middle of such a snafu that almost pre-empted her appearance. Last Thursday, the day the interview was originally scheduled, Syren went down to the hotel lobby after Swami called from a pay phone. She waited 30 minutes for the Swami who evidently got his wires crossed and went to another hotel and got caught in traffic. But Syren, thinking flake list, figured that the Swami was pissed and blew the interview off because her schedule was tight that day and also had to be in Providence. In the meantime Syren called Lombard who told her to give Swami another 15 minutes. Meanwhile Lombard tried to get a hold of Swami, by e-mail, then a phone call.
All the while Lombard thought maybe he got his wires crossed, that he didn’t read Swami’s earlier e-mail correctly. Then Syren thought she got her wires crossed and that the actual interview may have been on Friday night not Thursday and that there was no discussion about taping the show. In an e-mail back, Swami apologized back, saying, no, no, no, the error was his in not confirming dates and being at the wrong place. Syren wound up taping Friday, the day she thought the interview was supposed to be for anyway.
As a postscript to all this, Swami also had me scheduled for the Syren show but didn’t call the allotted time Thursday morning PST. Hours later he called apologizing for not doing so partly because of the Syren situation.
