As I’ve stated time and again in past columns, lawsuits are way more entertaining than they used to be.

Once overly burdened with taxing and cumbersome “whereas the party of the first part…” syntax, the profession has perked up a bit in recent years. All this thanks to the rediscovery of gossip and sex.

Mix those two ingredients in the judge’s chambers, and now you’ve got legal potboilers reading like Harold Robbins’ novels. The most recent comes out of the Houston area [Galena Park, Texas] where cops are suing cops over nude pictures, blowjobs and defamation of character.

Ordinarily, you’d think cops would spend their valuable time busting porn stars for posing naked and licking fire hose on top of big red engines, except this isn’t the case. This unusual tiff involves a defamation suit filed against police officer Corrie Long [pictured] by her fellow cops.
