Tina Flashed Her Genitals

Don Hollywood/Ron Miller writes: Gene, Just read the article on www.adultfyi.com which quoted Bill Margold regarding the year I was forced to close the AIM booth at Erotica LA and I feel compelled to set the record straight.

According to my contract with the Los Angeles Convention Center and The City of Los Angeles I was compelled to close an exhibitor/vendor booth if there was a violation of law. My failure to so act automatically triggered a clause in Erotica LA license agreement with the Convention Center & City which would force closure of the entire show.

Each and every exhibitor/vendor KNEW the rules as each one signed a copy of the rules, written in plain and simple English, which had a copy of the applicable terms of the license agreement attached. I had, personally, warned the staff at the AIM booth at least twice on the day in question not to allow any “flashing”. I saw a group of people gathered around the AIM booth, in the center of which was Max Hardcore and his camera crew and, to my surprise, I witnessed Tina Toy, (whom I had never met), pull her “G” string aside and flash her genitals.

At that moment, prior to the time LAPD could respond, I pulled the plug on the AIM booth, ordered it shut down and had it curtained off. Max, his crew and Tina were quietly and quickly escorted off premises by my staff. Sharon Mithchell was not in the AIM booth at the time these incidents occurred,

In subsequent conversations with Sharon Mitchell she stated that she understood and bore no ill will.

From the time I started Erotica LA until the day I sold the show I was the one and only person who made the decisions. At no time was Rob Spallone, Dr. Phil Berman and/or Bill Margold involved in the show.

With regard to Bill’s comment, “I was trapped in my miserable little corner back in the building”, I’d like to point out the fact that Bill choose his booth space every year at Erotica LA, as did AIM. Neither Bill nor AIM nor The North Hollywood clinic paid one penny for their space at any show while I owned and operated Erotica LA, (I believe the same policy regarding free booth space legitimate non-profit groups that benefit the adult industry is still in place). With regard to alleged letter from Jane Hamilton I never heard of it until I read the article on www.adultfyi.com . As Jane and have been friends for years I doubt that such a letter exists and challenge Bill to produce a copy.

Bill’s comments regarding this incident underscore the old saying, “no good deed goes unpunished”.

I you have any questions regarding these matters please don’t hesitate to give me a call.

Regards, Ron Miller/Don Hollywood

Gene sez: Thanx for the reply! By the way, Don, nice pic. Is that the pinup one hanging in US Submarines?
