Prior to the Urban X Awards, Genius hosted the GayVN Awards in January and received his first Grabbys Europe nominations. He also hosted the 2026 Scruff Fashion Show, which was presented by the Grabbys.
The Urban X Awards is an annual event that recognizes achievements in the adult film industry, with a focus on inclusivity and ethnically diverse and interracial content. The red carpet for the event ran from 5:00–7:00 p.m., followed by the award show from 7:30–10:30 p.m. at 9ThirtyLA, 930 Mateo Street, Downtown Los Angeles. The event was held on August 16.
