Maybe you don’t believe me or Rob Black, but Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Catherine Ewell certainly did. Judge Ewell sentenced Jesse “Mr. Marcus” Spencer to 30 days in jail, 15 days of community service and three years of probation for his role in doctoring a test and a resultant syphilis cover up.
What I love about the Internet is the fact that you can’t cover up ludicrous statements after you’ve made them. Approximately two months after the adult industry had been apprised of Syphilisgate, Diane Duke gave an interview with The Daily Beast, which wrote on August 20, 2012:
“Reached for an exclusive phone interview with The Daily Beast on Sunday night, Diane Duke, executive director of FSC, denied that the performer fabricated his tests.
“There have been a lot of rumors,” Duke says. “I would say the performer did not cheat the system. I would say other factors were at play.” Asked to elaborate, Duke demurred for now. “More information on that is probably going to be revealed in the future,” she says.
What information was that, Diane? Judge Ewell saw through the flimsy story.
