Corpus Christi- from www.kiiitv.com – One man was hospitalized Monday morning after a shooting at a local strip club.
The shots were fired just after midnight at “Pleasures”, on the 1900 block of Staples.
According to police, a fight broke out inside the club between two different groups. Once they were asked to leave, another altercation occurred outside between one party and the club’s General Manager.
As the group was driving away, the General Manager fired a shot at their truck, striking a 24 year old man.
CC PD Capt. Bill Breed love says, “He was shot in the jaw. He has got some pretty serious damage to his jaw bone, but he is in stable condition. It doesn’t appear to be life threatening injuries.”
The 35 year old General Manager was arrested on aggravated assault charges.

Police say 23-year-old Brandon Pate and his friends were asked to leave Pleasures Men’s Club just after midnight, after the group got into a fight inside the club.
The bouncer was escorting the men out with the help of 35-year-old Montray Powell, the club’s general manager, when the bouncer was punched. Police say once in the parking lot the men got in their truck to leave when Powell shot through the back window, hitting Pate in ear and cheek.
The driver took off to the Stripes at Annopolis and Staples where police were called.
Officers say Powell is charged with aggravated assault.
Pate was taken to the hospital.
