from www.radaronline.com – A married Republican congressman from New York has resigned after it emerged he sent a shirtless photo of himself to a woman on Craigslist, RadarOnline.com is reporting.

Rep. Christopher Lee resigned from the U.S. House of Representatives on Wednesday, three hours after Gawker published the image, along with the text he allegedly sent a woman.

“I’m a very fit fun classy guy,” Lee wrote, adding: “6FT 190LBS Blond/Blue.”

In a statement, the two-term congressman who represents New York’s 26th congressional district, said: “I regret the harm that my actions have caused my family, my staff and my constituents. I deeply and sincerely apologize to them all. I have made profound mistakes and I promise to work as hard as I can to seek their forgiveness.”
