Kenya- From www.nation.co.ke An American evangelist accused of trafficking in pornographic material www.adultfyi.com/read.php?ID=35743 is being sought by police to answer a charge of stealing a judge’s property worth Sh46,000.
Dr Thomas Kevin Manton will be enjoined in a suit with two women who have denied the same charge.
Police are also looking for Ms Racheal Mamoss, who they say is a key witness in the evangelist’s pornography trafficking case.
Police said that the 50-year-old Dr Manton and Ms Mamoss are likely to be charged alongside Ms Naomi Wanjiku and Ms Dorine Olembo or be treated as witnesses depending on the statements they make on being questioned on the theft allegation.
Ms Wanjiku and Ms Olembo were separately charged with stealing Sh46,000 worth of property belonging to a Nakuru resident judge.
The two appeared yesterday before Kibera resident magistrate Joseph Karanja.
The prosecutor, Mr Simon Waithaka, applied for adjournment, saying the case was coming up for consolidation.
“I have, however, not received a consolidated charge sheet and I’m not able to proceed. I pray for a mention tomorrow,” Mr Waithaka told the court.
The case will be mentioned on Thursday for consolidation.
Ms Wanjiku and Ms Olembo are out on Sh20,000 cash bail each.
