from www.thegate.ca- In August 2009, Arizona’s blonde bombshell known simply as Lia joined the ranks of adult stars like Jenna Jameson, Savanna Samson, and Tera Patrick as an exclusive Vivid Girl.
Well-known for her work online at her personal site, Lia was already on her way to becoming a mainstream model, but it took courage and an interview with Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch to take the next step in her career.
“After I watched the Showtime series Deeper Throat [a reality TV program about Vivid’s prize-winning update of the classic adult film concept] I realized Steven might be approachable,” Lia said.
“A meeting was arranged and he wasn’t intimidating at all. I was thrilled when he told me he thought I had what it takes to be a Vivid contract actress. Starting out with Vivid I knew it would be my ‘first everything’ on camera, but I decided to go for it because I don’t want to have any regrets about not trying.”
Hirsch noted that he was not only impressed with her spirit, but with the way she had cultivated a strong fan base, something Lia takes a lot of pride in.
“I think one of the reasons that my site is so popular is because I don’t hold anything back,” she said. “Sure, it helps that I look good. I’m all natural, I’m tattoo-free and I love my fans. But, I don’t take them for granted for a minute, and I really work at making them happy with new, sexy content.”
Oddly enough though, while Lia considers herself, “one of the guys,” and a strong sports player, she almost considered a completely different career.
“I was a swimmer, lifeguard and water polo player in high school and I love sports. I got into golf while I was modeling and found out I’m pretty good. I think my handicap is up around 12 now, but before I started working with Vivid I actually thought about trying to play professionally.”
She’s also a big sports fan, and although she’s from Arizona, Lia revealed that she’s “a diehard New York Giants fan” who watches ESPN, Discovery, and History channels. Plus, she’s a gamer.
In terms of films, you can catch Lia in Lia’s First Time and The Rush, and Lia still has more plans for her career.
“My goal is to leverage my time with Vivid into building a bigger web presence. I’ve built a great foundation for my company and I want to add to it.”
