Investigations at the Pakistan compound where Osama bin Laden has been hiding for years have unearthed some interesting finds. MSNBC has spoken with a pharmacist who has analyzed the medications found in the compound and who says bin Laden suffered from high blood pressure, ulcers and nerve pain.

But it’s another medication found at the scene that has everyone’s attention–bin Laden seems to have been a Viagra user.

Well not technically Viagra. Forensics teams found Avena syrup, a natural botanical ingredient which has two primary uses. The first is to act as a natural sweetener. The second, interestingly enough, is to counteract the afects of impotence.

So did Osama bin Laden suffer from erectile dysfunction?

Cynthia Reilly, the director of practice development for the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, says “We don’t know who used it. It could be used to soothe nerves or as a mood elevator. It could have been used by women to stimulate desire.”

Reilly may have hit the nail on the head there. Those poor women would had to have had something to stimulate desire. Who in their right mind would want to have sex with Osama bin Laden without a little pharmacological assistance?

So what’s the verdict? Was bin Laden using Viagra or not? Looks like no one will know for certain–unless his wife decides to shed some insight on the question.
