As reported, leading adult news and entertainment blog, POPPORN.com (http://www.popporn.com/node/785) announced its plan to direct its’ first ever, adult feature. The shoot was held February 26th – 28th in various locations in the San Fernando Valley. While numerous incidents occurred during production, the company insists that the film will be released.
A diary of some of the events that marred production can be found here: http://popporn.com/node/790 and here: http://popporn.com/node/798
The film, a partnership between POPPORN.com and a leading adult studio in porn valley was to be the initial release in a branded POPPORN.com adult line. However, at this time POPPORN.com is in battle with the studio over the release of the film.
POPPORN.com’s Brian Bangs said, “We didn’t want to have to send a press release about this situation, but fair is fair. Once the studio began threatening to not release the film we felt it necessary to bring this situation to the media. This studio entered a deal with POPPORN.com and the contract explicitly states that the movie has a required release date. While there were issues on set that were unfortunate, we will not back down from what was promised. We’ve invested every dime that we have as a business into this feature and one way or another, it’s coming out.”
Bangs went on to say, “The studio insists that the film is “unreleaseable”, that there isn’t enough footage to make a feature. I’ve seen most of the footage and there is no way that we did not hold up our end of the deal.”
The name of the studio is being withheld due to legal action pending.
