Based on some of the things that I’ve heard in recent days- rumor, conjecture, etc. these may be legitimate questions to pose at the press conference

Do either the state/ or Feds put up the money to cover the HIV testing? If so, how much is funded per test? Talent is currently paying $110 per test which includes testing for STD’s.

Was news of Darren James known as early as April 10th? I found out about it on the 11th, but the official statement wasn’t made until the 12th.

I’m told that all major companies keep copies of tests on file so that Lara Roxx’s original PCR-DNA test showing that she’s negative should be on file. But lapses of judgment have occured. A director doesn’t want to be inconvenienced by the prospect of having to replace talent at the last second over a lapsed or suspect test and, so, looks the other way. HIV tests are exchanged between the working partners but, many times, rather than risk losing a pay day, one or both partners look the other way when a suspect test presents itself. This is where the system breaks down.

I’m told it’s a matter of course, that talent would present their tests first to the director. I heard of one instance where a girl, literally had to be thrown off a set because she handed in a test from a veterinarian. A phone call placed to the number listed on the test determined that it was her cat’s blood test. Of course I’ve never heard of a cat having a test that could remotely be construed as a PCR-DNA test but what the hell do I know. I’m told, swear to God, this is a true story. Then, when asked to present a “real” test, the performer refused to leave the set of an all Asian No Man’s Land set for Video Team. Wes Emerson was the director. I’m also told the female performer’s response was that she had shot the day before using that test.

AIM was notified and the girl subsequently tested negative. Proof of this episode apparently was captured by Playboy which had a crew on the set.
