BOULDER — from www.timescall.com – A Longmont woman pleaded not guilty Friday to charges she sexually assaulted a 50-year-old man.
Janice McCarl, 53, is scheduled to stand trial on the charge in November.
McCarl was arrested in January. In December, the man, with whom she’d had a consensual relationship, reported to police that a month earlier, McCarl drugged him, waited for him to fall asleep, then anally penetrated him with her hand.
After the man went to police, McCarl reportedly left a note of apology on the man’s door, police said. Investigators also recorded a phone call in which McCarl said she was “drunk and stupid” at the time of the assault, police said.
