Porn Valley – from www.dailynews.com – The three-justice panel from California’s 2nd District Court of Appeals rejected the appeal of Rianne Theriault-Odom [pictured sticking her tongue out], who was convicted of the Feb. 5, 2009, attack on Roberta Busby outside Babes & Beer.

Theriault-Odom argued with the victim outside the club at 18454 Oxnard St., where Busby worked as a dancer, and then doused the Simi Valley mother of two with gasoline and set her on fire.

The victim ran back inside the bikini bar, and the club’s employees and some patrons used curtains to douse the flames.

Busby — who was 27 at the time of the attack — was hospitalized for five months, had 30 surgeries and “suffered severe, disfiguring injuries,” according to the panel’s nine-page ruling.

The justices noted that Theriault-Odom testified that “‘everything was really blurry’ because she ‘was drunk,'” but found that the testimony is “insufficient to lead a reasonable jury to find that, because of her intoxication, she failed to form the specific intent to maim Busby or cause her extreme pain and suffering.”

At Theriault-Odom’s sentencing last March, the victim said, “There’s nothing I could’ve said to you that night (that) could have warranted the lifetime of pain you have caused my family and I for the rest of my life.”

Busby asked Van Nuys Superior Court Judge Susan Speer to “hand down a punishment that will keep her away from society for her natural born life.”

Theriault-Odom was sentenced to life in prison for the attack.
