“CANOGA PARK, Calif. – Lexington Steele, Mercenary Pictures owner and three-time AVN Male Performer of the Year, recently taped guest appearances in two episodes of the popular Showtime series Weeds.
Steele told AVN that, unlike some porn stars whose cable TV gigs often amount to brief walk-ons, he appears “multiple times,” and with dialogue, and playing himself.
The episodes of the sitcom about suburban pot-growers are slated for broadcast in September, he said.
In another crossover venture, Steele has created Mercenary Entertainment to produce pilots for a reality show and a cable-TV talk show. The reality series pilot has been shot but is still untitled.
The pilot for the talk show, Lexington Steele Live, was shot last weekend with guests from a variety of show biz disciplines: rapper Spliff Star, R&B singer Porscha, actor-comedian Mistro Clark, and Steele’s porn star colleague Julian St. Jox.
Also appearing was new starlet Lexani Banks, who is featured on the cover of Mercenary’s Black Moon Risin’ 6. Future guests will also include well-known sports figures who are Lex fans.
Steele said his Playboy TV talk show, Lex in the City, “was very well received. But it was their show. This one belongs to Mercenary Entertainment.”
He’ll be shopping both projects to premium cable networks, primarily HBO, Showtime, VH1 and Spike TV.
Mercenary Entertainment will essentially be the mainstream-oriented face of Steele’s Mercenary bloc.”

Am I the only one who thinks that the work history of brutal anal sex and continuing allegations of sweaty man love and threats of violence will hinder Lex’s ambitions to become the Maury Povich of porn?

Who? Who? Who? and Julian St. Jox? It’s sad to think I’m so immersed in porn that the only one of those 4 that I know is the porn star. Lex’s Tyra Banks impression at the AVN Awards was great…he should do a show that just ribs on her lame ass.
