Former University of Nebraska champion wrestler Paul Donahoe, better known nationally as onetime Fratmen.tv model “Nash,” finished off a stellar season without a loss after winning his 125-pound division at last weekend’s Eastern Wrestling League tournament.
Donahoe and former Nebraska teammate Kenny Jordan created a bit of a stir when a gossip rag revealed that Fratmen’s newest models “Nash” and “Cal,” who posed for steamy nude shots and videos featuring solo masturbation, were in fact wrestlers at the University of Nebraska.
After this revelation, both athletes were booted from their respective teams, setting off a mixture of confusion, uproar, and schadenfraude throughout both the gay and college wrestling communities.
While Jordan has since retreated into obscurity, reportedly having transferred to Purdue University but not resuming his wresting career, Donahoe, a former NCAA champion with Nebraska, was welcomed at Pennsylvania’s Edinboro College (home of the appropriately named Fighting Scots) by athletic director and former Olympian Bruce Baumgartner, who said of his exciting yet much-maligned recruit, “People make mistakes all the time, and I think he deserves a second chance.”
Donahoe finished the conference season undefeated at 31-0 and is ranked number one in the nation going into the NCAA Tournament next week in St. Louis. We at GayWired.com are all pulling for him, assuredly.
