The Kobe Bryant case took another bizarre turn yesterday when cops arrested a Swiss man who apparently wanted to make cheese out of Kate Faber, the woman who’s accused Bryant of rape.
California cops arrested Patrick Graber in Los Angeles. Graber 31,allegedly asked Bryant for $3 million to kill Faber. Graber, 31, has been living on an expired visa and claimed to be part of the Russian mob.
According to information, Graber was busted by L.A. County sheriff’s investigators and FBI agents after accepting a bag full of mostly fake money and pledging to kill the 19-year-old Faber within a week. Authorities said Graber who also calls himself Yuri planned to subcontract the hit and bragged that he could make Faber disappear, claiming that he was involved in organized crime.
Graber – a bodybuilding coach – was held on $1 million bail.
On Sept. 8, Bryant’s security staff reported receiving a letter from Graber saying he could solve the L.A. Lakers star’s problems. They alerted Faber’s family. Faber, who received another death threat last month from a University of Iowa student, has moved out of the state.
