Porn Valley- In a story being reported on avn.com, Zero Tolerance has filed a $15 million lawsuit in Los Angeles federal court, claiming copyright infringement against the operators of Adulstallowed.com.
According to the suit, filed by company attorney Clyde DeWitt, site operators copied nearly 100 of Zero Tolerance’s video titles in violation of federal copyright laws. DeWitt said the website, without a licensing agreement, had done so without Zero Tolerance’s permission.
Greg Alves, head of Zero Tolerance, called it blatant piracy. And DeWitt said what makes the matter even of more concern is the fact that the site allows users to download the material and copy it onto DVD discs if they wished.
The lawsuit, according to the AVN story, also includes a claim for counterfeiting, which under federal law, allows plaintiffs to collect up to $1 million for each trademark intentionally associated with a counterfeit product.
Zero Tolerance also has a separate copyright infringement lawsuit filed against Florida-based Movixo.
