The show’s costs have been rising while ratings in its’ eighth season have tapered off, according to Variety, leading the studio to pull the plug on it after this season.

Fans of the show have one silver lining, as 24’s star Kiefer Sutherland and the show’s producers have expressed serious interest in making a feature film based on the series.

For now, the show airs Mondays on Fox at 9/8c.
