Thursday, Punta Gorda Police Detectives arrested 31-year-old Shane Darnell Boyett on charges of Prostitution and Violation of Probation related to their internet prostitution investigation.

Police say they had previously arrested Boyett on November 18 after they received an anonymous tip about possible prostitution activity. At that time, detectives say they were able to view her advertisements for "Erotic Services" on Craigslist.com.

After seeing the ads, detectives set up a meeting with Boyett. When they met, she agreed to exchange sex for money.

Boyett, who was found guilty on Wednesday for that November prostitution charge, had already posted another ad in the "Erotic Services" section of another networking site called Travslist.org.

Detectives began another sting operation and again arranged a meeting with Boyett. She agreed to exchange sex for money and she was arrested again.

This time, she agreed to cooperate with detectives and arranged to have Joseph Lee Moore, of 5594 Gagnon Terrace in North Port, deliver some of crack cocaine and roxycodone pills.

Moore and James Michelson, of 5337 Kenvil Drive in North Port, arrived at the predetermined location to unload the drugs.

Detectives arrested the two men and were able to get approximately $200 worth of crack cocaine, numerous pills, and over $1,000 in cash off of the men.

Moore and Michelson were both taken into custody.

Boyett was charged with Prostitution and Violation of Probation. She is being held at the Charlotte County Jail without bond.

Moore was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Violation of Probation. He is also being held at the Charlotte County Jail without bond.

Michelson was charged with Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is being held at the Charlotte County Jail on $11,000 bond.

The Punta Gorda Police Department says it will continue to investigate all internet-based crimes occurring within the municipal city limits of Punta Gorda.
