Winter Park, Florida -- Agents from four law-enforcement agencies raided two topless clubs Friday evening, arresting seven people, a Winter Park police spokeswoman said.
The arrests at Winter Park's Club Harem and at the Crystal Cabaret in Orange County were the outcome of an eight-month investigation that began after complaints about drug activity at the clubs, Sgt. Pam Marcum said. Members of management and several employees -- including exotic dancers -- were involved in selling cocaine and a small amount of Ecstasy to two agents, she said.
Most of the people arrested Friday face charges related to drug dealing, although one dancer faced an exposure count, Marcum said.
The two clubs are owned by Gerald Uranick, whose club Cleo's was the subject of an investigation about two years ago that led to several drug-related arrests. Uranick was not charged Friday.
The clubs will remain open, Marcum said.
