Playboy sues Chinese firms over bunny logo

WWW- Playboy Enterprises has filed a lawsuit against three Chinese companies to protect its famous bunny logo, according to a report from the state-run news organization China Daily.

Playboy has reportedly accused the three companies of trademark infringement for making shirts with logos similar to its signature trademark. One of the firms is Hong Kong-based Pearlboy Group, whose name in Chinese means “new playboy.” Playboy has asked that Pearlboy to stop using its logo and change its Chinese name, according to the Chinese news service.

A fourth company – Beijing-based retailer Chen Xiongjun – has been charged with selling the shirts to a department store in the Chinese capital the news service reported.
