Porn Valley- To put it mildly, Wicked Pictures contract superstar Stormy Daniels is on a roll.
As a presenter at the 25th Annual AVN Awards four weeks ago, she presented an award with Jesse Jane and mainstream radio personality Bubba The Love Sponge. And when she wasn’t presenting awards, she kept herself busy by winning them, taking home both Best Sex Comedy for her blockbuster Operation Desert Stormy and the newly re-christened Jenna Jameson Crossover Star Of The Year trophy.
As is often the case when one’s talent and appeal are so universal, history repeated itself last Thursday, February 7th, at the 2008 XBIZ Awards, where she snared the show’s own Crossover Star award. And being someone who’s never been content to rest on her laurels, Ms. Daniels celebrated these back-to-back victories Sunday night by attending the biggest show Hollywood’s seen in months – the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.
Stormy’s appearance was no mere red carpet stroll, as she spent the night granting interviews to a host of esteemed mainstream media outlets, including CBS News, People, Fox News, Access Hollywood, The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson, The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Hollywood Previews, MTV, YoungHollywood.com, and Star. The Ferguson and Leno shows have already featured Ms. Daniels in their coverage.
A landmark event by anyone’s estimation, The 50th Annual Grammy Awards were particularly crucial as the show marked Hollywood’s first truly “legitimate” red-carpet event in a long time (meaning it was not boycotted or otherwis e affected by the recent WGA writers’ strike). As a result, the overall ‘glam’ factor of the night for many seemed to reach even higher than usual. But even with such raised stakes, Stormy was more than up to the challenge, dressing to thrill in a chic display of haute couture that included pieces by Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Nicole Miller. Needless to say, the final result was an ensemble that astonished even the most discriminating fashion addicts.
CBS TV aired the 50th Annual Grammy Awards Sunday evening, with many observers describing the broadcast as one of the most provocative in the event’s half-century history. Add a glamorous, star-studded red carpet that featured Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Rhianna, and Carrie Underwood, and you have just the sort of VIP, all-eyes-on-me event fit for Stormy Daniels, 2008’s undisputed Crossover Star Of The Year.
