Gal Ritchie, the 2025 AVN Best New Starlet winner, reflects on her experience and future endeavors.
Passing the Torch
In January, at the Best New Starlet panel at AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, Gal Ritchie was asked for three words of advice. She contemplated for a moment and said: “Don’t. Fucking. Cry.” And after she announced Cheerleader Kait as the 2026 Best New Starlet, “As we came off the stage, she told me ‘I didn’t fucking cry,’” Ritchie recalls.
Ritchie reflects on handing over the torch as a bittersweet experience. She had an incredible year as Best New Starlet and considers it a badge of honor. She is proud of her hard work and recognizes that it was a moment she genuinely appreciated, unlike her usual tendency to be hard on herself.
Ritchie also shares that she wasn’t coy about wanting the title and wanted to make a splash in the industry when she first started thinking about doing this. The fact that she achieved it was amazing, and she is now passing it on to someone else who will take on that honor.
New Challenges
Ritchie has started exploring new content, specifically anal scenes. She has been learning tips and tricks from others and compares the process to an athlete prepping for the Olympics. She trained for six months because she didn’t have experience with it in her personal life, and it’s now become muscle memory.
Future Plans
Ritchie is on to the next thing now and sees where it will lead her. She compares it to getting a promotion and being excited about what's to come.
