HARRISBURG, Pa. - Billie Shankle is defending her husband's right to be entertained by strippers.

Omar Shankle is a Pennsylvania state trooper. He and his wife have filed suit over the department's investigation of a farewell party for him that featured two strippers.

They claim their free-speech rights were violated and they were defamed. The Shankles say as a result of the April surprise party, he lost a valued transfer to a vice unit.

In May, state police announced they had cleared more than a dozen troopers of wrongdoing. The investigation found that there was no sex - consensual or paid - at the party.
