Detroit— from www.detnews.com – A porn star is expected to plead guilty in the Miami Companions sex ring case, although an Internet ad on an adult Web site implies that she’s still soliciting clients as an independent escort.
The ad was posted Wednesday, the same day Nayubet Swaso’s defense lawyer confirmed his client had reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors.
Swaso, 24, who worked as an escort before graduating to the porn industry, is expected to plead guilty at 2 p.m. Monday in U.S. District Court in Detroit to one count of persuading or enticing someone to engage in prostitution, defense lawyer David Nacht told The Detroit News.
Nacht said he was unaware of the ad until today.
“My client is taking steps to have it removed,” Nacht said. He would not comment on whether the ad was legitimate or who may have placed it.
In the ad, filled with photos, a person using Swaso’s porn industry name “Sierra Sanchez” says she is accepting clients.
“I’m an elite upscale model and stand a stammering 5’6 , 34B-21-34 and 105 lbs and enchanting brown eyes and a body to die for,” the ad reads. “I am a sweet, petite, down-to-earth girl who really knows how to have a good time.”
There was no immediate comment from a U.S. Attorney’s Office spokeswoman.
It is the second sex-industry ad to run in recent months with ties to a Miami Companions defendant.
On a different escort Web site, an ad featuring photos of former Miami Companions office manager Michelle “Mickey” Matarazzo was active as recently as last September.
That’s two months after Matarazzo was indicted in the case.
The ad, featuring photos of a woman with Matarazzo’s distinctive tattoos, is for an escort named “Liv Lawless” who lives in Crystal River, Fla., the same city Matarazzo lists on her Facebook page.
“I am very outgoing, open-minded and fun. I love to meet new people,” the ad reads. “Almost all fetishes are welcome. I am based North of Tampa, Florida and can travel anywhere!”
Matarazzo’s lawyer could not be reached immediately for comment today.
Matarazzo also has reached a plea deal with prosecutors, is cooperating with the investigation and could get seven months in prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to coerce and entice prostitution. She is free on $10,000 unsecured bond.
