Adult Adult Cyber Mart Sneak Peek: After Meeting Alex deRenzy, George Plimpton Almost Became a Porn Performer

My recollections of the legendary George Plimpton this week www.adultcybermart.com/StoryNoGoodBooks.html got a response from Bill Margold.

I feel every time I talk to Margold, there’s another chapter of Porn History 101 that's being written. Somebody should just attach a tape recorder to Margold’s tongue and let him talk for the next 12 hours. Boy, would you have a book.

Plimpton, like Tom Wolfe, had been one of the vanguards in participatory journalism and drew an assignment to cover the AVN awards. Apparently the late author David Foster Wallace had the same idea but for a book he was writing. Plimpton’s article appeared in the November, 1998 issue of Men’s Journal.
