It was Michael Weinstein’s birthday, and the Republican’s Republican James Lee, the hired gun of Free Speech, invited him out to the street for a little old fashioned High Noon showdown. Lee and Weinstein tangled in debate on 89.3 KPCC Southern California Public Radio this past week.

Weinstein was his usual antic, high-pitched self while Lee appeared smooth, unruffled and patronizing. It was almost like Romney-Obama.

Weinstein had the floor….

“We believe that performers deserve the same protection that is afforded in ever workplace. And basically this is the only industry where people are required to go to work and contract diseases. It’s not just work place safety but those diseases spread to the general community as well,” he said.
