LOS ANGELES -- Adult industry media organization XBIZ will host the 2009 State of the Industry Conference, the first true assessment of what the future holds and what powers the pulse of adult entertainment, Feb. 10-12 in Woodland Hills, Calif.
XBIZ also will present the 7th Annual XBIZ Awards on Feb. 12.
The conference will feature adult entertainment elites who will share insight on how issues -- including the proliferation of free content online, the new U.S. administration and the broader economy -- have affected this supposed bulletproof business. During a series of seminars and special events, attendees will learn and spark discussion with the industry's A-list.
* LFP founder Larry Flynt will share his outlook on the future of adult entertainment during an exclusive Q&A-style interview.
* Adam & Eve founder Phil Harvey [pictured] will discuss how his success in adult entertainment has helped fund his philanthropic efforts worldwide.
* A panel of the industry's top stars -- including Nina Hartley, Peter North and Sasha Grey -- will discuss what it means to be a "porn star" in an Internet-driven era.
XBIZ Research also will debut the official results of the first-ever adult entertainment market research study, offering statistical information on the top issues of concern impacting the adult entertainment industry.
Culminating the State of the Industry Conference will be the 7th Annual XBIZ Awards, held at Boulevard 3 in Hollywood, Calif. The industry's biggest names -- Tera Patrick, "Pirates" studio Digital Playground, Belladonna, and more! -- will come together to honor outstanding individuals, companies, performers and products that play an essential part in the success and popularity of adult entertainment.
Hosting the XBIZ Awards will be VH1/Comedy Central "Funnyman" Chris Wylde and Adam & Eve contract starlets Bree Olson and Kayden Kross.
