HOUSTON — A business owner who once owned a chain of adult stores in the Houston area was sentenced to 20 months in prison for failing to pay federal taxes, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Wednesday.
Andrew Jinks Inglet, 55 was convicted of conspiracy to impede the Internal Revenue Service after he failed to pay $328,190 in income and employment taxes between 1999 and 2003, according to a statement issued by the justice department. Inglet has been in federal custody as a flight risk since September 2007 when he returned to the United States after living in El Salvador for several years.
A U.S. district judge accepted Inglet’s payment of full restitution and commanded he serve three years under court supervision upon release from prison, according to the statement.
